Blue Square Mortgage is the name AI gave most for Seattle mortgage brokers, with 40 mentions. Mortgage Reel (31), Seattle's Mortgage Broker (20) and CrossCountry Mortgage (19) came next. We counted them from 25 questions put to ChatGPT, Perplexity and Google AI Overview on October 27, 2026.
In all, the engines named 39 mortgage businesses 311 times. The top 4 took 110 of those mentions (35.4%).
These numbers are what the AI engines returned. They are not Beket AI's opinion or a ranking of quality. AI answers change over time, so read this as a snapshot.

The answers named banks and credit unions next to brokers. We kept them in the counts, because the engines offered them as options.
Mortgage Reel is a Seattle team that works under Fairway Independent Mortgage Corporation. The engines named it on its own, so we counted it apart from Fairway.
Seattle's Mortgage Broker and Seattle Mortgage Brokers, LLC have similar names. We could not confirm they are one business, so we kept them apart.
Did ChatGPT, Perplexity and Google AI Overview name the same mortgage businesses?

How did the engines differ?
Ten of the 39 mortgage businesses were named by all three engines. Meanwhile 12 came up on only one engine.
Mortgage Reel led ChatGPT with 18 mentions, one more than Blue Square Mortgage. Blue Square Mortgage led Perplexity (14) and Google AI Overview (9). Seattle's Mortgage Broker had 16 mentions on ChatGPT and none on Perplexity.
ChatGPT gave 164 of the 311 mentions, so it shaped most of the combined list. Google AI Overview's list included the credit union BECU (7) and the bank Wells Fargo (5).
How does Seattle compare with Vancouver?
We asked the same 25 questions, with local place names, in our Vancouver mortgage brokers study on October 23, 2026. Two questions keep Vancouver terms for a like for like match: "presale condos" and "mortgage renewal". Both are less common in Seattle, so read those answers with care.

Seattle's answers named more businesses more often, 311 mentions against 236. The top 4 took 35.4%, against 28.4% in Vancouver. Google AI Overview answered 18 prompts in Seattle and 5 in Vancouver, so it adds more to these counts.
Each city had one run, so part of any gap may come from timing rather than place.
How did we run the study?
We ran one Beket AI market audit on October 27, 2026, between 17:46 and 17:55 UTC. Its location was set to Seattle, Washington, and its language to English.
- Questions. The audit had 25 selected questions, the same on all three engines. None named a business.
- Discovery prompts. The audit also added 4 longer prompts of its own, and the counts include their answers.
- Mentions. A mention is a business named in an answer. Share is a business's mentions divided by all 311 mentions.
- Times named first. This counts answers where that business came first.
- Threshold. The audit's report listed 51 names, each with at least 2 mentions. A business named less often may not appear here.
- Name variants. We combined spellings of the same business, taking 46 names down to 39. The merges are listed below.
- Left out. We counted only businesses that offer the service, not directories, listing websites or review sites. The answers also named a property listing website, a rate comparison website, a credit bureau and two review sites. Together they had 30 mentions. They are not brokers or lenders, so we left them out.

How far can you trust these numbers?
Treat them as one careful snapshot, not a verdict. Our note on why one AI check is only a snapshot explains why.
- One run on one day. Answers can differ by day, by phrasing and by user.
- Google AI Overview was recorded for only 15 of the 25 selected questions, so most counts come from ChatGPT and Perplexity.
- If one answer used two spellings of the same name, merging could count it twice.
- One or two mentions can change a rank near the top.
- Only three engines were tested. Other AI tools may answer differently.
- A mention says nothing about service, licensing, fees or results.
