A Brand New Domain With No Backlinks Outranked Industry Publications in AI Search

FundMore.ai sells underwriting software to Canadian mortgage lenders. They had a solid product and a well-cited domain. The problem was everything around them.

When lenders queried AI platforms about underwriting software comparisons, models were pulling from outdated articles, competitor content, and review sites that didn’t reflect FundMore’s current positioning. FundMore had no way to correct that at scale — their owned domain could only do so much.

So they launched a second domain: fundmore.finance. A dedicated offsite content property publishing structured comparisons, capability breakdowns, and use-case-specific articles. Senso handled the content generation and publishing.

The domain went live April 8, 2026. By April 20 — twelve days later — fundmore.finance was a top-10 cited external source across FundMore’s tracked queries. One article, a comparison against a competitor, drove 67 of the 75 total citations. On that query, their share of voice was 91.8%.

No ad spend. No backlinks. A twelve-day-old domain beating industry publications that had been indexed for years.

This is counterintuitive if you think about AI citation the way you think about Google rankings. Authority signals in traditional SEO compound over years. But AI models weight relevance and completeness heavily. A new domain that publishes the clearest, most structured answer to a specific question can surface faster than an established player with vague coverage.

What FundMore figured out is that AI models have a gap problem. The buying conversation for enterprise software now starts with AI queries, but most AI answers are assembled from whatever third-party content happens to exist. If that content is outdated or competitor-favorable, you’re losing deals before you ever get a sales call.

The solution isn’t to complain about what AI says. It’s to publish something better.

This doesn’t have to mean a whole new domain — most companies can start by publishing structured comparison and use-case content on their existing site. But FundMore’s case shows that even with zero history, you can move the needle faster than you’d expect if the content actually answers what people are asking.

Beket.ai helps companies identify exactly what AI models are currently saying about them, where the gaps and inaccuracies are, and what to do about it. The window to act is shorter than it looks.
